In October 2020, TopParken acquired Camping de Hertshoorn in Garderen. Within three years, the full-scale holiday park Resort Veluwe was realised at that location. The park is equipped with (sustainable) holiday homes and a diverse range of facilities. But what exactly have been the developments? A review of three years of Resort Veluwe.

The holiday park was purchased because of its attractive, wooded location on the Veluwe. The organisation therefore responds to this with the sale and rental of holiday homes. There are currently 214 holiday homes, almost all of which have been sold. The homes are used for own use, rental and a combination of these. The majority are (partially) rented out. In August 2021, holiday homes started to be rented out.

In terms of facilities, a lot of (further) development has taken place at the park. Some of the new facilities include: bowling alley, foot squash court, fun bowling alley, outdoor fitness equipment and various (water) playgrounds. In addition, the indoor and outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and play loft have been renovated and a sandwich service is offered in cooperation with the local supermarket in Garderen.

Sustainability is central to developments at the holiday park. Pet and Canman dustbins have been installed to recycle and donate returnable bottles and cans. In addition, signage, roads and paths on the holiday park are made of natural materials. In April 2022, all these sustainable initiatives were awarded the golden Green Key seal of approval.
