Tips for an unforgettable holiday with your baby
Recently the proud father or mother of a little one? Then don't let that stop you from booking a weekend away or holiday. Going on holiday with your baby for the first time can be exciting. Yet it is a lot of fun! Gathering new impressions together, having a great time and making the best holiday memories. And that tension you experience? We take it away with our 6 tips for a holiday with your baby! Read along with us?
Choose a destination close to home
Going on holiday with your baby for the first time is quite exciting. That is why it is smart to think carefully about your holiday destination. For example, choose a holiday in your own country: nice and close, you speak the language and you know for sure that safety, hygiene and quality of healthcare are good here. Then you already don't have to worry about that! Our tips for a holiday with your baby? Recreatiepark 't Gelloo and Resort Veluwe are our most child-friendly holiday parks. Make holiday memories together on the beautiful Veluwe!
Travel by car
Tip number two: go for travelling with your baby in the car! Flying to faraway destinations or a ride on a crowded train can be stressful. So enjoy taking the car and drive at your own pace to your holiday destination. An added advantage: you have no luggage restrictions, so you can load up the car with everything you need. Tip: buy a good car seat and car sunshade and occasionally sit in the back to keep your baby company. Don't make the drive too long, so come and enjoy yourself at our parks in the Netherlands.

Throw your holiday planning overboard
Go to a town in the morning, have lunch somewhere, walk through the woods in the afternoon, eat out at the park in the evening and then play games in your accommodation. Sounds fun, but jettison this full schedule when travelling with a baby. Everything takes longer, and don't forget the naps and eating/drinking in between. So the motto is: just go with the flow! It's about enjoying and making memories together, not about seeing and doing as much as possible. Planning only creates stress, so live in the moment and see what the day brings!
Go for babyproof accommodation
A tip for a holiday with your baby: choose an accommodation where you can enjoy carefree time with your little one. Can a baby cot be placed? Can the car be parked near the accommodation so you can easily unload the buggy, nappy bag and maxi-cosy? Yes, in the TopParken holiday homes this is no problem! Furthermore, in our holiday homes you have a spacious kitchen (you can cook for yourself!), several bedrooms and a spacious garden with a terrace. The latter is great if you want to enjoy the sun while your baby sleeps in the holiday home.

Make sure facilities are close by
One of our tips for a holiday with your baby? Check the facilities of the holiday park! At TopParken you will be well catered for when it comes to facilities. At most parks you can splash around together in a shallow pool, enjoy the terrace of our restaurants and hire a bicycle (with baby seat) to explore the area together. Everything is within reach! Which is nice, because you probably don't feel like driving half an hour to find a swimming pool or restaurant.
Don't forget to pack anything
Are you always worried about forgetting something? Especially for a holiday with your baby, it is important that you have the right stuff with you. The most important things not to forget? Sunscreen with factor 50, entertainment for your baby (toys, books, etc.), his or her favourite cuddly toy, a dummy, baby wipes, baby food and nappies. Need a complete packing list so you never forget anything on holiday? We compiled a holiday checklist!

Have fun with your baby at TopParken
We understand: travelling with your baby is quite exciting. But with these six tips, you will be well prepared and only one thing will remain: ultimate enjoyment and making the most beautiful memories together. And a final tip from us: opt for a stay outside the busier holiday periods. You will probably not be bound by school holidays with your baby, so it is advisable to come in June or September, for example. Wonderfully quiet and plenty of space and privacy! Will we see you soon at one of our holiday parks?
