Visit 't Veluws Zandsculpturenfestijn in Garderen

From 1 April, 't Veluws Zandsculpturenfestijn is open. A spectacular exhibition of impressive sand sculptures. This year's theme is 'Our Patriotic History', taking visitors back in time.

Veluws Zandsculpture Festival: Our national history

Experience Dutch history and stand face to face with hunebed builders, the Batavians and Romans. Discover how people lived and worked in the Middle Ages and learn more about trade in the Hanseatic cities and the VOC. In short, a visit to 't Veluws Zandsculpture Festival is not only impressive, but also enormously educational.

Test your knowledge

Curious about how much knowledge you have about national history? Then 't Veluws Zandsculpturenfestijn is the place to be! As you visit the festival, you will encounter various questions on the theme: "Our Fatherland History". Turn in your answers after the route through the park and have a chance to win fun prizes!

Should you want to gain more knowledge during the route, there is also a free audio tour available to download onto your phone!

Tip! Bring earphones with you so you can listen to this interesting free audio tour to the fullest!

Practical information

't Veluws Zandsculpturenfestijn will be open every Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm from 1 April 2022. On Sunday, the fest is closed. The park is completely wheelchair-friendly and you can park for free. More information about 't Veluws Zandsculpturenfestijn can be found here.

Our holiday park in Garderen is only 3.5 km away from 't Veluws Zandsculpturenfestijn. You can rent (electric) bikes at the holiday park, allowing you to combine a visit to the sand sculpture festival with a beautiful trip through the natural surroundings. Upon returning to the holiday park, the surrounding area is waiting to be discovered. Take a walk through the neighbouring Speulderbos or go on an adventure in the Klimbos Garderen. There is also more than enough to do on the holiday park itself. Take a dip in the swimming pool, challenge your friends/family to a game of FunBowl and enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner at restaurant de Wildebras.
