Want to go out for an afternoon? Zevenhuizerplas is just 20 car minutes from our park. Enjoy an afternoon of swimming, rent a boat or enjoy a refreshing drink on the terrace.

One of the oldest zoos in the Netherlands can be found in Rotterdam. Holidaying in this area is therefore extra fun for animal lovers. A trip to Blijdorp zoo is easy and is possible all year round.

Young and old enjoy a fantastic day at Duinrell amusement park. From our park, it is only a 40-minute drive to Wassenaar, where Duinrell is located. The fun attractions are combined with lots of water fun in the Tiki Pool. Do you dare to slide down all the water slides?

What started as a small party grew into a multi-day event full of passion and splendour in which more than 30 cultures are represented. Also experience the sultry summer carnival in Rotterdam and stay overnight at Parc de IJsselhoeve.

Staying at our park means a holiday near Rotterdam. Ideal for visiting the Euromast, the Market Hall or cube houses. Walk across the Erasmus Bridge or just sail under it with a boat trip on the river Maas. You will have a different perspective every time during your holiday near Rotterdam.

After just a 20-minute drive along the river IJssel, you will arrive in Gouda. Enjoy a day of shopping, visit a museum where you can learn more about the rich history of this city or enjoy a meal in one of the many restaurants. Also fun, every Thursday in spring and summer there is an old Dutch cheese market in Gouda. A spectacular nostalgic scene that you should definitely have seen once.

Are you a real active person and do you like a challenge? Then cross the mountain bike paths on the Veluwe during your holiday in Lunteren. The wooded surroundings of Ede and Lunteren are very suitable for various routes. There is a mountain bike route of no less than 80 kilometres in the area.

Did you know that the Geographical Midpoint of the Netherlands is just three kilometres from the park? In just under three quarters of an hour, you can walk from Landgoed de Scheleberg to the Geographical Midpoint of the Netherlands, which is located at Lindeboomsberg in the Lunterse bos.

Want to spend a day diving into history and soaking up culture? Then pay a visit to the Kröller-Müller Museum. Here you will find the second largest Van Gogh collection in the world. Not only can you admire these beautiful paintings, but also take a walk through the sculpture garden.

During your holiday, a visit to De Hoge Veluwe National Park should not be missed. Walk or cycle through this beautiful nature reserve and who knows, you might even come across a wild animal. Discover the drifting sand, beautiful forests and vast heathlands.

Do you know what the Netherlands was like 200 years ago? Experience all the history of our country at the Open Air Museum in Arnhem. You will be taken on a journey through time; bet you didn't know many things about our frog country? Thanks to the many interactive games, the museum is also great fun for children!

From Park Westerkogge, it is only a 15-minute drive to the nearby town of Hoorn. The historical centre of Hoorn, with its many cosy restaurants, shops and cultural hotspots, is definitely worth a visit. In Hoorn, for example, you will find the famous Café aan de Haven and various museums such as the Westfries Museum and Museum of the 20th Century.

During your holiday at the IJsselmeer, visit Artis Zoo, just 30 car minutes from our holiday park. Artis has not only a zoo, but also a Planetarium and Aquarium. Take a guided tour and spot your favourite animal! Every day there are different activities on the agenda.

There is nothing more relaxing than an extended bike ride along the waterfront. As you sit on your two-wheeler, enjoy the undulating water that can be seen all the way to the horizon. Let the area around the IJsselmeer and the Markermeer be just the place for such beautiful bike rides. The lakes, which were part of the former Zuiderzee, are surrounded by beautiful nature. On the way, you will also come across picturesque villages and towns where you can take a break with a cup of coffee and a pastry.

Just a 20-minute drive from Park Westerkogge you will find the Simonenhoeve, an original cheese farm and clog factory. At the Simonehoeve, there is plenty to do for young and old; from free guided tours to workshops and various activities. At the end of your visit to the Simonehove, you can also take a look in the cosy shop with cheeses, clogs and other nice souvenirs. Thanks to its location close to the Markermeer and IJsselmeer, you can also practice countless water sports. Hire a boat and float on the IJsselmeer, cast your rod in the Markermeer or explore the area on a supboard. Guaranteed success!

Visit the city beach in Hoorn during your holiday in North Holland! Here you can relax in the sand, play a game of football or have a bite to eat in the beach pavilion.

Maastricht can be found 20 kilometres from our park. This beautiful city is definitely worth a visit. In Maastricht, you can shop for hours and then sit down at one of the many restaurants with terraces.

The largest castle located between the Meuse and Rhine rivers is Kasteel Hoensbroek. A beautiful and well-maintained castle where you can see the influences through the centuries. Above the Velvet Cave is Valkenburg Castle Ruins, where history dates back to the 11th century. Admire these monumental remains and discover how the inhabitants lived here.

Soestdijk Palace is a royal residential gem with a rich history. Built in the 17th century, it served as a residence for royal Dutch families, including Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard. Its classical architecture and lush gardens have served as a backdrop for important royal events and meetings. Today, it is open to the public, giving visitors the chance to experience its regal splendour and history.

National Park Utrechtse Heuvelrug is a breathtaking, multi-faceted nature reserve. With vast forests, rolling hills, sand drifts and historic estates, the park offers a unique combination of nature and culture. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy beautiful routes surrounded by a variety of flora and fauna.

The Loosdrechtse Plassen are an enchanting (water sports) paradise and are popular for sailing, boating and swimming. It is therefore an idyllic spot for nature lovers and recreationalists. Float around in a sloop or cross the lake in a sailing boat. Swimming or quietly rowing; it is all possible in this area.

Located in the heart of the Netherlands, Utrecht welcomes visitors with its charming canals, centuries-old architecture and vibrant culture. The imposing Dom tower dominates the skyline, while cosy cafés and bustling markets fill the streets with conviviality.

The city of Amersfoort exudes historical charm and modern vibrancy. The city is surrounded by medieval canals and city walls. With its vibrant cultural scene, cosy squares and picturesque streets, Amersfoort is a harmonious mix of history and contemporary energy.

Within walking distance you will find pancake house De Vuursche Boer, a household name when it comes to pancakes for more than 60 years. Enjoy the traditional old Dutch pancake or discover one of the other surprising and delicious combinations.

Right opposite Resort Veluwe is Klimbos Garderen, suitable for children from 4 years of age. Challenging courses full of fun, exciting and adventurous elements. Do you dare to take to the heights?

From 1 April, 't Veluws Zandsculpturenfestijn is open. A spectacular exhibition of impressive sand sculptures. The park is 3.5 km from Resort Veluwe and is easy to visit by bike!

A fun outing for families with children aged 6 - 9. Try to reach the towers of Fort Vertier as quickly as possible by choosing the right entrance, walkways and paths. On to the next tower!

Enjoying wellness in the middle of nature: how wonderful is that? The saunas and baths at Zwaluwhoeve Hierden allow you to de-stress and relax, so that you return to your holiday home fully recharged.

Schovenhorst country estate with the Bostoren: a fun outing for the whole family! Climb up the 235 steps: the view is more than worth it! You look out over Amersfoort, the Veluwe and the windmills in the polder.

Meet monkeys and nature in a special way. Did you know that half the monkeys are on the loose in this park? Be careful, because before you know it a monkey will be sitting on your shoulder. A fun outing for young and old!

The centre of Lichtenvoorde is less than 5 km from the holiday park and is easily accessible by bike and car. Go here for shopping, coffee, lunch, drinks or dinner or visit the market on Saturday. At the market in Lichtenvoorde, you will find a boulder weighing over 20,000 kilos. In 1874, it was dragged to the market as a pedestal to celebrate the 25th anniversary of William II's reign. The boulder can still be admired, now including a seated lion with the municipal coat of arms of Lichtenvoorde.

From the park, you can also visit our eastern neighbours: within half an hour you can cross the German border by car. Get to know German bratwurst, beer and conviviality. Lovely villages and towns include Nordhorn, Bocholt and Bad Bentheim.

Are you spending your holidays in Lichtenvoorde in September? Then a visit to the flower parade is definitely worthwhile. On the second Sunday of September, the annual flower parade is organised in Lichtenvoorde; a beautiful floral spectacle in which impressive floats are decorated with more than four million colourful dahlias!

Lichtenvoorde is known for the Zwarte Cross festival, which is held in July and attracts more than 220,000 visitors every year. Known for the typical Achterhoekse cosiness and hospitality, the motorbike festival is visited by young and old alike. Get to know a mix of music, theatre, motocross, stunts and much more. So get your tickets quickly!

A marina on the Esmeer lake, near the town of Aalst and easily accessible via the Meuse and Waal rivers. There are excellent sanitary facilities here, large jetties, a boat crane and a drinking water supply.

De Neswaarden is a beautiful piece of nature with a beach, sunbathing area, sports fields and a large playground. You can go to the nearby catering establishments for an ice cream, snack or drink. A unique recreational area for anyone looking for action or complete relaxation!

The watery surroundings are also perfect for water sports enthusiasts and anglers. At recreational lake/beach pool Het Esmeer, you can go sailing, supping, surfing and swimming, among other things. At Lake Esmeer you will find a real marina and restaurant with a large terrace and playground.

The town of Zaltbommel is just a 15-minute drive from the holiday park. The town has many surprising side streets, shops and restaurants and is definitely worth a visit during your stay at Recreatiepark het Esmeer. During the tourist season, you can also explore this characteristic town with a professional city guide.

Are you a real action enthusiast and do you like a challenge? Then cross through the woody surroundings of Ede and Lunteren and discover the beautiful Veluwe region by mountain bike. In the vicinity of Recreatiepark 't Gelloo, you will find a mountain bike route of no less than 80 kilometres and, especially for children, a short route of 4 kilometres.

Ede is a pleasant city where you can spend a day shopping or enjoy one of the many coffee shops or restaurants. Ede also has one of the best ice cream parlours in the Netherlands. Enjoy Italian scoop ice cream during your holiday in Ede; a real treat! Near Ede, along the A12 motorway, you will also find Pathé Ede: the cinema with the largest cinema hall in the Netherlands.

Every year in the last week of August, the Heideweek is organised in Ede. Various events such as sports competitions and performances are organised and there is a Heideoptocht with beautifully decorated floats through the centre of Ede on the first Saturday. A must to attend during your holiday in Ede.

At Monkey Town Ede, a day out never falls into the water. In this indoor playground, your children can climb, clamber and romp all day long. Slide down the slide, throw a strike on the bowling alley or somersault the highest on the trampoline!

The cosy city of Den Bosch is just 20 minutes by car from Résidence de Leuvert. During your holiday near Den Bosch, you can enjoy shopping, take a guided city walk, take a gondola ride and, of course, eat the tastiest Bossche Bollen in the Netherlands.

From our park, you can reach the recreational lake IJzeren Man on foot within 20 minutes. The recreational lake is uniquely located in the middle of the woods. Hire a boat, a pedalo or go supping. Are you ready for an afternoon of relaxation? Then relax in the sun on the beach or have a drink at the Strandhuys.

During your holiday near Den Bosch, you can discover two beautiful nature reserves; De Vughterheide and the National Park De Loonse en Drunense Duinen. Tip: various (free) walking and cycling routes are available at reception. Who knows, you might spot a wild animal during your trip!

Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of De Efteling! This fairytale experience has been the favourite outing for young and old for years and is guaranteed to be a success! From Résidence Leuvert, it is only a 25-minute drive to the amusement park.

Experience the penetrating sound of the steam whistle. Experience the stamping, steam development and pulling power of the mighty steam locomotives. Travel by steam train on the more than 100-year-old railway line Apeldoorn - Dieren.

Near the park you will find the Loenen waterfall: at 15 metres high, it is the highest waterfall in the Netherlands. The water comes from the Apeldoorn-Dierenskanaal canal and the spreng that supplies the water rises in the woods of the Schalter.

From Recreatiepark Beekbergen, it is only a short distance to Paleis het Loo. There is plenty to do here all year round. Stroll through the stately gardens, visit an exhibition in the museum and feel like a prince or princess on the estate.

Extensive shopping, an evening out, a museum visit or a stroll through the old streets, Arnhem has it all. A visit to this city should not be missed during your holiday.

Take the most beautiful walks across the Veluwe via the Klompenpaden. Walk on country estates, historical paths and even straight through farmland via the Klompenpaden. Enjoy tranquillity, nature and culture during a Klompenpaden walk. Thanks to the various outlined routes, there is plenty to discover and experience during your walk. In Ede, you will find as many as eleven different clog paths. With different distances of paths, there is a suitable Klompenpad for every type of hiker. The Klompenpaden are ideal for exploring Ede in a unique way.

Around Bospark Ede you will find challenging mountain bike routes of over 80 kilometres. From steep climbs, loose sand, tough descents and narrow forest paths. You will find it all during a challenging mountain bike tour around Ede!

Wageningen played a major role during World War II, which is partly why the Liberation Festival is celebrated in a big way every year on 5 May. Also visit the Belmonte Arboretum in Wageningen. This park with rare trees and shrubs can be visited free of charge all year round.

This botanical garden is definitely worth a visit. The Belmonte Arboretum has a very special collection of trees, shrubs and bushes and is one of the larger gardens in the Netherlands. It is also lovely to take a walk through here!

Also don't forget to explore the area south of Wageningen. The Betuwe is known for its rivers and horticulture. In high season, a visit to an apple, pear or cherry orchard is really a must. The Betuwe can be reached by car via the A50 motorway.

Lage Mierde is close to a large nature reserve, namely De Brabantse Kempen. This nature reserve stretches across North Brabant, a small part of Limburg and Belgium. Ideal for hiking and cycling enthusiasts!

Experience an unforgettable day at Benelux's largest wildlife park. Spot animals from your own car, or plan a boat or bus safari. Come face to face with wild animals and experience an educational and unique day.

At Zoo Veldhoven, you will be introduced to over 150 animal species, including parrots, birds of prey and owls. You may even feed the parrots with special nuts available at the cash register! In cold or rainy weather, the indoor Bamboo Jungle offers the ideal place for children.

The cosy cities of Eindhoven (32 km) and Tilburg (17 km) and villages such as Reusel (7.5 km), Bladel (10 km) and Hapert (12 km) are close to Resort de Brabantse Kempen. Stroll through the cosy shopping streets, have a nice cup of coffee on the terrace or visit one of the many museums.

Just a short distance from the border you will find the Belgian amusement park Bobbejaanland, a true paradise for families. With exciting roller coasters, water rides and a wide range of shows, this park offers fun for young and old.

The remains of the Old Dutch Waterline can still be admired today in the fortified towns of the Utrecht Region, ranging from imposing castles and forts to the traces of the line in the landscape.

Fort Everdingen on the Lek is the sturdy home of beer brewery Duits&Lauret. In the tasting room, the brewers serve their beer to visitors and also offer small snacks.

The Railway Museum is more than just a museum. Here you will discover how the train changed the world. The lifelike station, theatre, exciting attractions and various exhibitions and events guarantee you a fun day out!

In the immediate vicinity of Résidence Lage Vuursche, you will experience hours of water fun in one of the various indoor swimming pools, such as at Zwembad De Lieberg in Hilversum.

Fancy a day at an outdoor swimming pool on a sunny day? In the vicinity of our holiday park is the beautiful open-air swimming pool 'Bosbad de Vuursche'. With a competition pool, a recreational pool, a toddler pool and a paddling pool, the Bosbad is the ideal place for young and old.
