Operating instructions DE coffee machine

1. FILLING THE WATER TANK
Fill the water tank with fresh drinking water (max. 600 ml).

2. CONNECTING AND SWITCHING ON
Insert the plug into a grounded wall socket. Press the ON/OFF button to switch the machine on. The indicator lights of the coffee and hot water buttons flash to show that the machine is heating up (approx. 30 seconds). The machine is ready for use when the indicator lights are on constantly.

3. ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF THE CUP TRAY
Move the holder up or down or remove it, depending on the size of your cup or mug. Place a cup suitable for your desired drink on the cup tray.

4. INSERTING THE CAPSULE
Open the lever and insert the capsule. Close the lever.

5. PREPARE BEVERAGE
Press the beverage button of your choice:

  • 5A: ESPRESSO: Selection button espresso.
  • 5B: LUNGO: Lungo button.
  • 5C: HOT WATER: Hot water button.

The brewing process stops automatically when the drink is ready. Open the lever to eject the capsule in the collection tray.

Important to know

When disposing of the empty cups, please take care not to throw away the collection tray. This is because the container is loose.

We only recommend using Douwe Egberts coffee capsules. Other capsules often get stuck in the machine and may cause damage.

Safety measures

Please read this manual carefully before using your new coffee machine for the first time. Keep this manual in a convenient place so that you can refer to it later if necessary.

  • In an emergency: unplug the machine immediately.
  • Children should never use the appliance without adult supervision.
  • Check that the voltage indicated on the rating plate matches the mains voltage you are using.
  • Only connect the appliance to earthed sockets. The warranty will be void if incorrect connections are used.
  • Unplug the machine and let it cool down before cleaning or having it serviced.
  • Never immerse the appliance, cable or plug in water or any other liquid.
  • Keep the power cable out of the reach of children.
  • Make sure the cable is not near or in contact with hot parts of the machine, a heat source or sharp edges.
  • Never place the machine on a hot surface, such as a hotplate.
  • Never use the machine near an open flame.
  • Place the machine on a flat, stable and heat-resistant surface, away from splashing water.
  • If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service technician or other qualified persons to avoid dangers from using defective power cables.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with physical, sensory or mental disabilities or lack of experience or knowledge, unless supervised or instructed in the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
