Important to know
When you throw away the empty cups, please be careful that the collection container is not thrown away. This container is namely not fastened.
We recommend only using coffee capsules from Douwe Egberts. Other capsules often get stuck in the machine and can therefore cause damage.

1. FILL WATER TANK
Fill the water tank with fresh drinking water (max. 600 ml).
2. CONNECT AND SWITCH ON
Plug into a grounded outlet. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the machine on. The indicator lights of the coffee and hot water buttons flash to indicate that the machine is heating (about 30 seconds). The device is ready to use when the indicator lights are on constantly.
3. ADJUST HEAD HOLDER HEIGHT
Move the holder up or down or remove it, depending on the size of your cup or mug. Place a cup suitable for your desired beverage on the cup holder.
4. INSERT CAPSULE
Open the lever and place the capsule in the machine. Close the lever.
5. PREPARE BEVERAGE
Press the button for the beverage of your choice:
- 5A: ESPRESSO: Espresso selection button.
- 5B: LUNGO: Lungo selection button.
- 5C: HOT WATER: Hot water selection button.
The preparation process stops automatically when the beverage is ready. Open the lever to eject the capsule into the collection tray.
Safety measures
Please read this manual carefully before using your new coffee maker for the first time. Keep this manual in a convenient place for future reference if necessary.
- In case of emergency: unplug immediately.
- Children should never use the device without adult supervision.
- Check that the voltage specified on the type plate corresponds to the mains voltage you are using.
- Connect the device only to grounded outlets. The warranty is void if improper connections are used.
- Unplug the machine and let it cool down before cleaning or servicing it.
- Never immerse the device, the cable, or the plug in water or any other liquid.
- Keep the power cord out of the reach of children.
- Make sure the cable is not near or in contact with hot parts of the machine, a heat source, or sharp edges.
- Never place the machine on a hot surface, such as a hotplate.
- Never use the device near an open flame.
- Place the machine on a flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface away from splashing water.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service technician, or other qualified persons to avoid the dangers of using defective power cables.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with physical, sensory, or mental disabilities or lack of experience or knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
TELL CHILDREN ABOUT THE DANGER OF THE DEVICE, AND NEVER LET THEM PLAY WITH IT!
